Prime Time Athletes

Post by Legend »

Name: Jimmy Classic
Tag Team: Prime Time Athletes - (PTA)
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 215 lbs
Hometown: Los Angeles, California
Alignment: Heel

Entrance Music: Dirty Palm & Benix: Legacy

Appearance: Jimmy dresses the A-lister part. Long brown hair with blonde highlight streaks in it. Perfectly trimmed beard-goatee. He has the superstar athletic natural pro-wrestler build that every man dreams to have and every woman dreams of seeing.

He wears various elaborate wrestling pants with a woven artistic design throughout them, with matching boots. (Black & Silver, White & Blue, Red & Black, Neon Green & Blue).

On the way to the ring, Classic will wear various exotic outfits that catch attention, such as fur coats, open vests, and sometimes the latest PTA t-shirts, always with a pair of luxury sunglasses on.

Style: Primary: All-Arounder
Secondary: Highflyer
Additional Description: Jimmy trained at the highly respected PVW wrestling academy - The Desert. He was primed to be a breakout star before the league shut its doors. Since then, he tailored his skills in Mexico and on the independent circuit - mixing a modern American wrestling style with Lucha.

Finisher: Classic Driver / Classic Plex: Also known as the Dragon Driver or Phoenix-Plex. A bridging fallaway powerbomb. Jimmy lifts his opponent into a powerbomb position before grabbing their head and neck and falling backward, dropping his opponent on their head and neck. Jimmy will often hold them into a cradle for the pin.

Signature moves:
Classic Kick - Superkick
Standing Shooting star press
Classic Sault: Big Moonsault’s anywhere in almost any situation - (See Ibshi’s Golden Triangle Moonsault)
Tilt-a-whirl DDT
Belly-to-back wheelbarrow facebuster
Tag Team Combo Moves:
Larkin lifts the opponent, and Classic springboards into a head kick.
Larkin, with a fast suplex (any variation), as Classic, follows with a moonsault (standing, springboard, off the ropes).
Prime Time Kick: Double Superkicks.
Classic frankensteiners his opponent as the opponent is coming down, Larkin is there waiting, catches their opponent's momentum, and sits down with a sit-out.
Plex-a-Rama: Trade-off suplexes - at least two, sometimes three or four. It depends on how many they can get off. Various plexes can be used - but a classic train will look like this - Larkin hits a Dragon, Classic hits a wheelbarrow, and Larkin finishes with a t-bone.)

Moveset:
Asai moonsault, corkscrew plancha, European uppercut, multiple kick variations (Drop, Spinning wheel, Step-up jumping high, ect), Forearm smash, hangman neckbreaker, standing moonsault, high flying elbow drop, frankensteiner, hurricanrana, big dropkick, belly-to-back suplex, dragon suplex, la magistral (arm wrench inside cradle), dragon screw, running powerbomb usually out of the corner.

Other Standard/and lucha wrestling moves work also.
Strengths:
Athletic: Jimmy is a natural athlete and can do things inside the ring that many people can’t. He is a pure example of an all-arounder wrestler who can adapt to many different wrestling styles. His time in Mexico also helped create an athletic Lucha-American nightmare inside the ring.
Adaptable: Due to Jimmy’s raw ability, he can adapt fast on the fly and change paces depending on the situation. He can slow the pace and keep things inside the ring or speed it up and let things get chaotic.
Tag Team Combinations: Jimmy and Trae trained together and were seen as the two gems of the acclaimed wrestling academy - The Desert. They have an arsenal of combination moves and work flawlessly as a tag team.

Weaknesses:
Cocky: Since Jimmy has been so athletic his whole life and excelled at almost everything he has attempted, he is naturally arrogant and cocky. He will attempt things others won’t or shouldn’t, which will sometimes backfire on him.
Inexperience: While Jimmy is seen as a future star in the pro wrestling world at this time, he hasn’t proved it on the big stage. So he will learn hard lessons as his journey transitions from future star to star.
Focus: Since Jimmy has always been so good at everything he has attempted, he can lose focus if things don’t go his way.

Quirks/Eccentricities: Jimmy Classic is one of those once-in-a-lifetime athletes. The kid/guy everyone hates because he is good at everything he tries physically. Jimmy is also as eccentric outside the ring as he is inside the ring. Born in LA, he has connections in the fashion industry and wears a few exotic things.

Dos and Don’ts when writing your character: Think of many modern high-paced wrestlers that you saw in Lucha Underground (Prince Puma, John Morrison, ect..) or TNA’s X-Divison stars.
Beliefs, Values, and Desires: Jimmy is about Jimmy first and foremost, and then the Prime Time Athletes, and then Jimmy again. What is good for them is what is important.

Backstory: How did your wrestler make their way to GLOBAL:

As a graduate of the acclaimed PVW wrestling school - The Desert Jimmy Classic was geared toward big things. However, when things went south and the league closed - Jimmy was left scrambling and found himself spending a few years in Mexico and taking gigs on the independent circuit.

Now reuniting with fellow Desert stand out - Trae Larkin, the Prime Time Athletes are ready for their “big chance” in GLOBAL, and they don’t plan on letting anything stop them this time.

Name: “Suplex Ninja” Trae Larkin
Tag Team: Prime Time Athletes - (PTA)
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 225 lbs
Hometown: Seattle, Washington
Alignment: Heel

Entrance Music: Dirty Palm & Benix: Legacy

Appearance: Trae is an athletic African American with that classic amatuer wrestling build. He has a black fade cut and cleans shaved, with a dragon tattoo down the right arm.

He usually wears matching wrestling singlets or just half-wrestling trunks with matching boots that match the colors of Jimmy Classic’s gear. (Black & Silver, White & Blue, Red & Black, Neon Green & Blue).

Trae is a bit less exotic than his partner on the way to the ring. He will wear a Prime Time Athletes t-shirt and gold sunglasses, trying to match a little of his partner's flare.

Style: Primary: Techniker
Secondary: Highflyer
(Suplex Machine)
Additional Description: Trae also trained at the highly respected PVW wrestling academy - The Desert. After PVW shut its doors - Trae went on to wrestle the independent circuit spending a few months in Japan. Trae is known for his massive array of suplexes, thus using the moniker - The Suplex Ninja.

Finisher: Ninja Nuke: Asai DDT - Also known as a backflip three-quarter facelock inverted DDT.

Signature moves:
Various Suplexes (Dragon, Fisherman, belly-to-belly, Tiger, Sleeper, belly-to-back, butterfly, straight jacket, half-nelson, snap, vertical, wheelbarrow, tbone, side, overhead, northern lights.
Superkick
Asai Moonsault
Leaping reverse STO
Multiple arm drags

Moveset:
Back body drop, inverted atomic drop, full nelson, shoot kick to the back of a seated opponent, armtrap backbreaker, huracanrana, diving clothesline, hammerlock front powerslam, Samoan drop, leaping splash in the corner, turnbuckle powerbomb, springboard into a bulldog, missile dropkick, fireman's carry takedown, Single leg takedown, double leg takedown, inverted ddt, jumping cutter, somersault plancha.

Other Standard wrestling moves work also.

Strengths:
Athletic: Trae has a decorated amateur wrestling background and stood out in high school and college. He is very athletic, and his athletic ability shows inside the ring.
Agility: Trae is very agile. He is almost like a cat, always landing on his feet.
Tag Team Combinations: Jimmy and Trae trained together and were seen as the two gems of the acclaimed wrestling academy - The Desert. They have an arsenal of combination moves and work flawlessly as a tag team.
Weaknesses:
2nd man syndrome: Because - Jimmy is so eccentric, sometimes Trae can be seen as the 2nd man to Jimmy; in reality, they are both as talented. This can play and rub Trae a bit as he tries to take the reigns at times to show he is just as important.
Inexperience: Trae hasn’t had a chance to wrestle on the big stage yet. While talented and raw, he still has a lot to learn. It’s only a matter of time until these become hard lessons for Trae as he grows.
Checkered Past: It’s rumored that Trae’s amateur wrestling career came crumbling down because of some sealed court documents. It’s unknown what happened there exactly, but there are a lot of rumors about it - and it all ties to the gang he ran around with from his neighborhood. Hopefully, it all stays in the past, and they don’t become more problems for the talented youngster.

Quirks/Eccentricities: Trae may seem like the second man to the Prime Time Athletes, but he may be the most important part of the team. The glue that makes the team go - With a decorated amateur wrestling background, the Suplex Ninja is here to prove that he is a future star in his own right.

Dos and Don’ts when writing your character: Larkin has a knack for landing on his feet. He will also pull out timely suplexes like it’s almost a dance routine.
Beliefs, Values, and Desires: While Trae is loyal to his friend and partner, he wants to ensure he is recognized for his talent and efforts. Trae is a bit quieter and stoic than his partner - almost like a silent assassin at times, but the Suplex Ninja makes up for it in the ring with plenty of noise.

Backstory: How did your wrestler make their way to GLOBAL:

As a graduate of the acclaimed PVW wrestling school - Trae Larkin was waiting for his call-up, but when the league went south, he was left to try and make a name for himself the hard way. Traveling the independent circuits and a trip to Japan facing some of the top young, strong-style wrestlers.

Now reuniting with fellow Desert stand out - Jimmy Classic, the Prime Time Athletes are ready for their “big chance” in GLOBAL, and they don’t plan on letting anything stop them this time.
