Self-explanatory. Everybody drop their favourite styles, bands, artists, etc.
I'm broadly a rocker, though my musical taste is varied enough that it goes from Manu Chao to Death and from Cape Verdean music to God Forbid.
If I had to pick my favourite (mainstream/well known) bands, I would say:
Nirvana
AC/DC
Green Day (older)
Toy Dolls
Ramones
Metallica
Beach Boys
The Clash
Cinderella
Sex Pistols
Then a second tier which includes stuff like older Sepultura, Slipknot (they used to be among my favourites back in the day), Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Chumbawamba, The Who, The Doors, Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne solo, Bon Jovi, Poison, Alice Cooper, Bob Marley and so forth.
Lately, I have been on a kick of discovering new bands, as I found out almost any album in existence, unless it is incredidiculoustastically rare (or a shitty supermarket bargain-bin compilation), will be on YouTube, Spotify or Amazon music. Sadly, I have struck very few gems outside of Bandcamp (which HAS yielded a few awesome little-known indie bands over the years.)
How about everybody else?
Music Tastes
Re: Music Tastes
I have a wide arrange of tastes with a pretty extensive vinyl collection that I still enjoy.
Beach Boys - Pet Sounds is still my favorite album.
My other two favorite bands are Beatles and Sam Cooke.
As for modern-day music, someone recently turned me onto the English band - The Lathams, and I have been diving into their small catalog and enjoying it.

What's your favourite Beatles album/era?
White Album and Abbey Road for me.
They were my first favourite band, at age 8 (a year or so before Nirvana), and I still have a massive soft spot for them.

Re: Music Tastes
Tough question, but I "think" I like Rubber Soul best.
