Best Wrestler Today?
Best Wrestler Today?
Not an original topic exactly, but I'd be curious to know everyone's thoughts on who they think is the best in-ring performer these days?

Re: Best Wrestler Today?
In terms of promo, it's MJF. 100%, without any argument to the contrary, it just is.
In terms of actual wrestling, probably someone like Bryan Danielson for me.

Re: Best Wrestler Today?
I always feel like my answer can change pretty frequently and I watch a wide variety of things. For me, promo-wise, I also gotta say MJF. The feud with he and Punk this year really sealed it for me. Sami Zayn and the Bloodline story is REALLY close to this with a lot of fun story layers. Sami's best career character work by miles and he has always been great at this.
Will Ospreay is kind of a numbnuts outside the ring from what I hear, but I've been a fan of his ring work this year and for me, I'd put him there. And dare I say, a hot take for some, but I think he's better all-round than Kenny Omega.
Honorable mentions for the year to "Speedball" Mike Bailey who has just had an incredible year and El Hijo del Vikingo who is quickly becoming a favorite. He's unreal.

Danielson is my all time favorite, but his current work isn't the most compelling of his career. Maybe that will change with the MJF match.
In terms of sheer in-ring, Ospreay has had a banner year, but I have to give it to Gunther. That guy is a machine. He was my WOTY in 2018 when the competition was stiffer than it has ever been.
In terms of promos, MJF is great but his current character is no buys. Should have turned face. Honestly, the one guy who really gets me to buy into him time and time again is Hangman.
In terms of the perfect combination of the two? The best guy all around? Moxley. No question.

If I watch, it's 99% WWE these days..
If it's in-ring/work rate - Seth Rollins? Walter/Gunther?

I love Seth - the handler here, and Rollins.
Rollins is fantastic. The best I've seen live, too, along with one Owen Hart.

Re: Best Wrestler Today?
I think Walter/Gunther has really been excellent this year. My son still watches somewhat and pulls up the big events on peacock and we watch them. That dude has had some bangers this year and I don't think people expected him to be this good at big events
They are potentially putting him with Lesnar at Mania.....that says something there

Looks for Shae's answer...
I did not see that coming.

Re: Best Wrestler Today?
Sami Zayne is obviously doing things right. He is one of the most over-wrestlers right now. I was a big fan when he was a heel, especially doing the documentary stuff. But, I wasn't that big into him in ROH or NXT. I am curious to see how he does long-term as a face. Because I felt he found such as sweet spot as a heel and that elevated him to get so over.
