Alright. Showing more strain in the tone and describin more action can help that better. As it was, they were too calm for people fighting in that moment.

This is the shortest show to date. More on that later. Here we go…

THE INTERSECTION: A good line by Allie, and a sentiment Truth Naysayers may agree with, but I am happy to see JJT, personally. The Rocksteady and Bebop thing, well Pedro has told me that’s not UNINTENTIONAL, but in terms of how that became a thing…well, let’s just say It was coined by the git that buggered off for a month.

Anyway, I can see why this segment confused people, which I’d heard about weeks before getting round to reading it. Two shows ago, Dream is ready to rumble with Darring, and it was BBZ that stuck his oar in. Okay, that could be a case of mood. But, Dream is straight-up telling John the, er, truth and neither man is daft, so why there would be any kind of marriage of convenience from here out is/would be confusing. Plus, I take it this is the stage where Dream v Darring takes a back seat to Dream v Truth, though for this show, I can see it being an interesting subplot. I’ll need to read on to see if I agree with what I’ve been hearing about. Overall, not a bad segment as such, though, between two of the top guys in the company.

HYSTERIA: I don’t know if it does or doesn’t. It’s a well-written piece, but perhaps drawing it out for as long as it has might be a mistake.

OBJECTION OVERRULED: You know who’s coming out from the first line, and that’s a good thing. I happen to like the premise, and see where The Players are coming from, for the defence and while we know who’s going to win, this match has the potential to be a cracker. Sorry about the SCW bio, Pedro!

TAG TEAM TITLES: That didn’t miss a beat, did it? Delivered on what you want from an opener, containing some awesome action, great character work and did a great job in making both Sanders and Chameleon look good, while keeping the champions strong and giving us the right outcome. Okay, we knew the outcome going in, but the match was well worth a read and the most enjoyable TR outing this arc, which is saying something. Superb stuff.

MATAREMOS: That was something different! I didn’t see that coming at all, and not only a sound idea, but great execution to boot. Very impressive. While I understand the ‘overly long’ criticism, it does take time to set this thing up, suck you in and escalate, so I’m not going to go along with that.

WHAT GOES AROUND: While it was a very good segment, I am sad to see this is the end of FTK, who were highly enjoyable and entertaining and had such a massive role to play in the tag team division, so a mixture of emotions here. Respect, though, and Gemini has been one of my favourites throughout his tenure in GLOBAL. Thank you, Chris.

JERRY DAVIS V ALFERSON: Jerry Davis?! Howay, Scott. Getting your own character’s name wrong. My goodness. Anyway, how many is that for Alf? Is there time to change that season finale main event?

JOIN OR DIE 1: A great little piece off the back of the previous match, and a fine example of what you can do/get away with in GLOBAL by one of the finest proponents.

AMBUSH: Got to feel for some of the babyfaces here. A nice dynamic between the three in terms of building their relationship, well with throwing VV in the mix, and an exciting 6-person tag that I’m personally looking forward to.

PLAYERS PLAYING THE GAME: I like how it was written, and a good job ‘playing’ The Players.

WRESTLETRONIC V CHETT MARX: Admittedly, I love the intro and premise already. Chett’s ring entrance was funny, and reminds me of something I used to do with a character I have called Alfred. Wrestletronic’s nicknames…man, I knew they were going to be good. I’ll have to change my idea for a character I had that was going to be a DJ, but delighted to have you back, Seth. I’m already hooked before the bell.

That false finish got me! Some wonderful move names, high-paced and a fine debut for WT that did what it had to. On another note, I am glad to see Marx back in the action, because I am a fan and would like to see a storyline where people try to uncover information about him and the lengths that he’s willing to go to in order to deny them the right.

A DIRECT MESSAGE: Yes, it was, and a big thank you to Brian for doing this, while I shat the bed. Let’s say that out loud. I love the PTA.

AN EMERGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT: Great continuity, a big thank you for how Alfie was written out and an apology from me once again. Love how the previous attack was reported by Quinn here, and a moment that binds all three commentators together. Very, very, nicely done.

ANGEL CORPS V METAL MILITIA: What a start to this bout with a couple of sensational spots. Wow. Don’t think The Mark should be swearing, mind.

This is where I should have done a style guide: Write numbers out when they’re being said by commentators, please. That’s on me, though. Sorry. Something to hammer home in the future.

A whole load of fun until the ending, which was abrupt, but also worked with the foreshadowing this week and the selling of last week, and a big shot in the arm for Metal Militia while advancing things for Valorie v Reyn and the Angel Corps on the whole.

AFTERMATH AND REGRET: Short and sweet, but good selling of what has just unfolded. Props.

MAKING AMENDS: The fans may not be happy to see ATG, but my man, I’m fucking delighted he’s back. I could hear Regal and Wade while reading this, and that’s not a bad thing.
The exchange with Best of British was glorious, and man, Big Aug returning in the same segment. This was too much. Tremendous stuff.

EVERY SIX SECONDS: An excellent segment from top to bottom and I can see why it got some love with a character at the end, again I wasn’t expecting her at the end of this, who I’m looking forward to seeing more of. She has made quite an impression, thus far.

A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAMP: Great, as always, by Darring and I liked the ‘three times’ references. Proper focus by Darring on the task at hand while selling Dream and The Players, too. Masterful.

THERE’S THE DEVIL: A fine and much-needed segment featuring Dream, and I’d like to see BBZ be more like The Devil. This was good.

DEATH DO US PART: I could hear Guilty Conscience while reading this. If Hod had been reading the show, I could’ve made a school joke only he would’ve got, but this was another good showing for DM.

MAIN EVENT: Sound idea to have Darring on commentary, and I enjoyed what the character brought to the table there, too. Fine job.

As for the match itself, it certainly had its moments and is worthy of a main event, and makes sense given the previous two, though I can also see people’s concerns about this taking away from what is supposed to be the most important feud/bout of the season. This is the third match pitting Darring and Dream against each other, with Darring coming out on top on both occasions. Before going away, so between 10 and 11, I did mention that I felt Dream should be almost obsessed and consumed with the idea of dethroning Darring, not just because of the title itself, but his head-to-head v LSD and being the man to knock Sean off his perch.

To focus on Pedro’s work, as I got a bit distracted in the previous paragraph and apologise for that, I’ll start off with a negative: Lucas Quinn has been a major cheerleader for Daniel Dream for large parts of the season, so I didn’t like the line where he was critical, unless that’s meant to be puckering up to Darring, but even still.

I personally like how the two styles mesh together. You see the cocky and uber-talented Dream on show, who now seems to focus on Darring more when he should be focusing on Truth, funnily enough, and the scrappy, determined, and resilient JJT.

A chaotic finish to what was a good match. I get it, to a degree. It served well as a main event.

GETTING OFF EASY: A strong ending for Truth and yes, BC are like Rocksteady and Bebop. Another big night for JJT and plenty of positives, albeit mixed in with some criticism.

OVERALL THOUGHTS…

MOTN: The opener.

SEGMENT: 11 may’ve been the best of the arc yet, and I’m stumped, but I’ll go for Crusader X’s and Seth’s return.

CHARACTER: Darring has had some honourable mentions, but for consistency, he gets top gig tonight, and his consistency is why he’s the man. I would say it’s still been a big night for Pedro’s characters, though.

FEUD: Struggling here, which is possibly a bad thing, but I’ll say Dream v Truth – which may also be a negative. I’ll wait until I read 13.
