Re: Domination 13 - Feedback Level
THE OUTLAW TORN: Just a little thing to make sure Metal Militia stayed babyface after their actions in their last match.
JOIN, OR DIE II – KIDNAPPING BOOGALOO: By now, it is becoming very clear how this dynamic is going to work. Or not work. Or eventually work. Anyway, good cinematic segment. Could see this scene in a movie or TV show that allowed for magical realism.
JUMP IN THE FIRE: Mandatory New Age Outlaws entrance is mandatory. Plus, a new challenger comes!
ROXX VS MILITIA: I had so. Much. Fun. Writing this match and playing into these teams' brief but definitely existent story together. If I don't make someone gasp with at least one of the spots here, I'll feel a little disappointed, honestly. Hashtag 'setting the pace'.
THE MASTER PLAN: There, Shae. Are you happy? The Players did what you said they should do! Heel turn now firmly cemented for these guys, as they soften up Darring ahead of their confrontation later in the night. Good backstage brawl, with Darring asserting himself, but still struggling against two assailants only slightly below his own level – as he should.
SOLDIERS DOWNFALL: I know where this story is going, and this is a wonderful way to kick it off. There is barely a wasted moment in this segment, yet nothing feels rushed, either. Great job here.
DON'T TREAD ON ME: John J. being John J., just in case anyone missed him. Also gives closure to the events of last week, and explains why he is not at the actual show this time around. After two Truth-heavy shows, I felt a step back was in order, as I did not want him to outshine the actual main eventers. The ending bit also sets up something for next 'season'...
WRESTLETRONIC VS XIANG: Fantastic cruiserweight comedy match, with only a couple of nitpicks from me. First, Xiang has fought Truth in a handicap match a few shows ago. Second, why would Xiang go out there himself instead of sending The Great Wall to do it for him? Other than that, two thumbs up from this flip-lovin' fedder.
CHOW DOWN AND THROW DOWN: Auggie's back, baby! That's all this segment was attempting to establish, and establish that it did. Another no-frills interview segment which does its job without much faffing about.
THE UNFORGIVEN: This would have worked better before the Valorie segment. Anyway, it is a follow-up to last show's angle with the woman attacking Saul and Angel. This may simmer for a bit as other stuff happens, but I wanted to establish that it WILL, at some point, happen.
JOIN, OR DIE (III): Always good to see GLOBAL's format being taken advantage of. This one feels more literary than cinematic, but it still reads like a short chapter you might find in an adventure book after the first-person protagonist has been kidnapped. Great work.
A CLUE FROM A CHILD: Requisite 'Naked Man lands someplace awkward' segment of the week. Is he ever going to catch up to Doritos? And most importantly, where is this all leading?
MISTRESS DREAD: Here she is again, this time revealing a new facet which I am VERY excited about exploring.
BIG AUG VS RUPERT: More of an angle than a match, but still some good action in this one, to go with the character work. The right result, even if it came about the wrong way. Note: I am VERY excited about what is about to happen with this angle.
RAISED STAKES: Yup. They certainly are...
VALORIE VS JOE PUBLIC: Written to order to achieve a specific goal. The only bit I added in was the last one, which ties into the segment from earlier, with poor Joe P getting what he was promised if he failed.
MOTIVATION: Such an aggravation. Anyway, good to see Reyn finally FEELING and ACTING like a threat, instead of just behaving like an edgelord and having everyone around him talk about how they're quaking in their boots in fear. Great segment here, though I am still partial to the first one from earlier.
A RICH RETURN: Yet another interview segment that does what it needs to do without much of a fuss. Seems to be a pattern this show – which is a good thing. Aside from calling the Champions 'the' Trouble Roxx, this is a good segment, which continues a slow-burning feud ahead of the inevitable PPV climax.
UNO: Okay, I guess Naked Man is finally going to catch up to Doritos...but who the hell laid HIM out? The plot thickens...
DARRING VS THE PLAYERS: OK...I'm going to pull a Shae here and ask: WHAT. THE. FUCK? Why is Darring no-selling his ribs? Are The Players comedy heels, or serious? They act like comedy jobbers until Beel Zebub shows up, then suddenly are all business and a threat? (I mean, if that is intentional – to show they're buffoons with the mastermind there to call the shots – then bravo. If not, yikes.) But most importantly: WHY IS DANIEL DREAM SUDDENLY BABYFACE? Is this his actual babyface turn? If so, why was there no indication of it anywhere else on the show? Yeah, this one's a bit of a shambles, lads. With the result beyond any shadow of a doubt, the focus is all on the story, and the story is a complete mess. Swing and a miss. Sorry.
FINAL THOUGHTS: Another incredibly breezy read – maybe because most of it was segments, and a solid half of those were mine. Stories progressed, there was a remarkable lack of filler both within segments and within the context of the show as a whole (most segments were to the point, and accomplished something valid) and most importantly, the action did not suffer – most matches were still no-brainers result-wise, but the actual in-ring stuff on them was good. The main downside was the Main Event's messy storytelling, but overall, this is still good enough for a firmly above-average ranking.
PEDRO'S RATING: 7.5/10, or a B+. An improvement over the last two or so shows, with much less of a spinning-wheels feel, and a well-rounded and pleasing stepping stone on the way to both our third PPV and our first season finale. A final word of appreciation for the lack of typos, misplaced segments, missing segments, and the rest of the usual SNAFUs we tend to get every show. Nicely done, Scott.
MATCH OF THE NIGHT: Wrestletronic vs Xiang, because it was a midcard spotfest, AKA my favourite kind of match. Hopefully, people enjoyed the tag title bout, as I certainly did.
SEGMENT OF THE NIGHT: Soldiers Downfall. Powerful and punchy, with no wasted space.
ANGLE OF THE NIGHT: Valorie and Reyn.
LINE OF THE NIGHT: Reyn had a few good ones. Also, 'I PICKED PAPER! I PICKED PAPER!'

Re: Domination 13 - Feedback Level
Just to make a note, I am following the story's script for this arc... I am not sure what others are doing, but I am.
I don't know what is going on either, and I have given up trying and just doing what we agreed to do.
That is all I can say.

Re: Domination 13 - Feedback Level
Match of the night: Trouble Roxx vs Metal Milita: Both teams brought their A-game, Hayley shows off major ring awareness, and Metal Militia show off good teamwork but it's not enough to stop the resilience and fast-pace offense of Trouble Roxx. Trouble Roxx get the win in what I think is probably their best match.
Wrestletronic vs Xiang: A match that showcases Wrestletronic's creative offense while still letting Xiang get his shine. A great match.
Big Aug vs Royal Royston-Fellowes: Aleczander The Great ruins Big Aug's return which feels appropriate and actually adds more intrigue to a typical return match.
Valorie Vitality vs Joe Public: Set a GLOBAL record for fastest victory at 6 seconds.
Sean Darring vs Paul Sanders: Another short match, but displaying Sean Darring's mastery.
Segment of the night: Join, or Die (II): I really like The Jester, I find the idea of The Jester teaming up with Jerry David very interesting. The Jester thinks him and Jerry David could know no superior, I like The Jester's dynamic with Jerry in this segment, Jerry David quite literally spits in his face though.
The Outlaw Torn: The Metal Milita start off with a simple apology segment which is good.
The Master Plan: The Players attack Darring, and Benedict Beel Zebub being sinister and shady.
Soldiers Downfall: Valorie has a good segment.
Don't Tread on Me: John J. Truth threatens Daniel and The Players in a segment that was short and simple but did everything it needed to do.
Chown Down and Throw Down: Del Watersone declares they are going to get Big Aug back into championship contention.
The Unforgiven: Another good segment.
Join, or Die (III): An interesting first person segment by Jerry David.
Mistress Dread: Officer Wright is my favorite newcomer so far and she has a great segment again.
Raised Stakes: Valorie has another good segment that, fittingly, raises the stakes for Valorie Vitality vs Joe Public.
A Rich Return: Another return segment.
Feud of the night: Sean Darring vs Benedict Beel Zebub
Line of the night: "Here you shall remain, for the remainder of your days. Strapped to your throne of self-righteousness."

Re: Domination 13 - Feedback Level
Match of the night: Aug Vs Rupert
Segment of the night: Probably Chow Down & Throw Down.
Feud of the night: Aug Vs Aleczander
Line of the night: Nothing stood out especially.
I've got a few problems with this show...
- Several of Pedro's characters have the same voice in different accents
- I'm not sure why Truth is involved in the title picture
- It feels more like we're heading to Darring Vs Beelzebub than Darring Vs Dream, which is how the angle started...
- Lacked any intensity
- The fact that a returning Seth's stuff was the best stuff on the show is a problem
- 13 shows, 2 PPVs, and the main event is written in the past tense.
Segment of the night: Probably Chow Down & Throw Down.

Re: Domination 13 - Feedback Thread
The shortest show so far, which again has its pros and cons. It was certainly easy to get through, and I accept a lot of people haven't done feedback for a variety of reasons this arc, and I'd be a hypocrite if I complained about that. I just hope, moving forward, we can change that and get back on track with the fed, and feedback as a part of that. However, a thank you to those who've read and reviewed the show, as well as to everyone for writing for it, again in my absence. I'm humbled and embarrassed by that, and will try and offer my thanks in future through my efforts rather than just simply saying these words here. In the meantime, let's go.
THE OUTLAW TORN: I thought this was a very good segment, in terms of the dynamic between Metal Militia and the dialogue. Really want to see more of this unit moving forward.
JOIN OR DIE 2: This took things up a notch. Jerry David may well look like a face because of who his opponents have been, but I believe he has treaded the tweener line well, better than some others I've seen in the hobby, and this brings some of the intensity to the feud and fed in some ways than the writer of this piece has (correctly) mentioned is missing.
JUMP IN THE FIRE: Again, immediately, you know who's coming out within a line or two, and that works well in this medium, and even better in 'real' wrestling. I know which match is coming up, I'm looking forward to it...LET'S GO!
TAG TEAM TITLES: Not only the match of the night, but in contention for best of the arc, in GLOBAL tag team history and Domination history, as well. A relentless pace from the get-go that just didn't let up, didn't stop, and lived up to the hype. Full of near-falls, tension, drama, high spots, counters and awesome action. I'd love to see that run back, go a little bit longer and on a PPV. Sublime.
THE MASTER PLAN: Such a well-written segment. Strange to see them in this role because of what they've been like historically, but it makes complete sense for the position they've been given here. A grand job.
SOLDIERS DOWNFALL: Pedro has summed this up pretty well. I had an inkling something might happen here, and it has the right blend of continuity from before and mystery moving forward. A good piece, indeed.
DON'T TREAD ON ME: Another very good piece by JJT. I knew of the suspension prior to reading, and hope it isn't that long before we see John back. Pedro, you achieved your objectives, so well done.
WRESTLETRONIC V XIANG: On paper, this works on so many levels, because of their in-ring styles and conflicting personalities. Seth created Xiang, so he knows both characters inside out, and this is a fun, fun affair. I could see WT v TGW in the future too, though as a spectacle, this is superior. I echo The Mark's final thoughts, and I'm fine with that. Seth is the master of this style.
CHOW DOWN AND THROW DOWN: As Scott said, Seth hasn't missed a beat, and I loved this as a comeback segment. The elephant analogy was superb, two-fold, and it's great to see Aug and Aleczander back.
THE UNFORGIVEN: This was a great mysterious and menacing segment at the same time, and it felt like it blurred the lines between dispositions, which is a compliment. Cracking stuff.
JOIN OR DIE 3: No problems with first person AT ALL, and good to see it being used. Did its job well.
A CLUE FROM A CHILD: A well-written piece, as always. Think it could've been ramped up or finished before now, though.
MISTRESS DREAD: A fine title and nickname for Miranda Wright, and she's establishing herself as someone not to be messed with. Very good.
AUG V RUPERT: Again, if it's not broke, why fix it? Fit the formula perfectly, didn't waste any motion, and was a good TV match. No complaints from me.
RAISED STAKES: Another good segment that nudges things along.
VITALITY V PUBLIC: If you're going to have a match end that quickly, Public is the perfect person to do it against. I just hope it was done for the right reasons. No problems with it otherwise, though.
MOTIVATION: I was impressed by this segment. It felt well coordinated, played to both character's strengths, and made me look forward to their next interaction. Great.
A RICH RETURN: A big thank you for filling in while I was away, and congratulations on doing TRF justice (I mean, they're a crap team, so I appreciate making them look better than they really are) and a cracking confrontation with PTA, who I've liked from the very beginning. ZERO complaints, here, ALL praise.
UNO: Business picked up...didn't it?
LSD V ???: I'm not as critical as others here, and like that gave LSD some shine. The feud could've been further on than it is, and it does seem like it's more LSD v BBZ and Dream v Truth, though not so much on this show. LSD would and should deal with Sanders handily, and does.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: A show that was decent in the match department, but certainly better in the segment stakes, and that category is a hard one to pick, though I will in just a moment. While this show did move things on, admittedly, I still reckon this could have been amped and ramped up a bit more on the penultimate Domination ahead of the season finale. For that, I'll accept my fair share of the blame. What I'd like to see in the future, whether I'm here or not, is some more emphasis on matches, please. I'll try and set that precedent moving forward.
MOTN: The opener. Everything was done well in the main, but Pedro has his own formula working at the moment, and it's working for Trouble Roxx. That was a magnificent match.
CHARACTER: To compensate for me not doing LOTN, and I wish I hadn't, as this is tough. Who to go for here? Wow. Well, I haven't picked the champion for anything else and again, he's solid everywhere, so I'll go for him and his fellow champions, Trouble Roxx, taking the match into account. Valorie was also in my thinking.
SEGMENT: Man. Even looking back through, this is a tougher call. Between Chow Down and Motivation, for me.
FEUD: For consistency, I'll go Reyn v Vitality.

Re: Domination 13 - Feedback Thread
I have intended to get something up sooner. My apologies; I read it earlier this week, but board week left me behind as I had to finish my show work. Anyways, another short show that was a quick and easy read.
I am not going to go into my stuff, but Keegan seemed to understand what I was going for. Stories continued to move toward the PPV. Seeing some old characters return (Cool, Seth!).
Jester and David's segment was a ton of fun.
I think there is still a lot of things to tie together for the PPV, and we have one show left. I hope we are all prepared to bring it next show to set the PPV up!
I promise to do a better review soon. maybe? no really.
